Availability with Purpose

Sunday’s Monday

This has been a week of discovery for me! I have learned things about me and Jesus that I didn’t know or had forgotten, and it is strengthening our relationship. I am amazed at the things God is doing in and with this old dog. God has brought Brother Night to my heart and provided a few special spirit filled Christian brothers to nurture me in this endeavor. I am so blessed to have men in my life that love God enough to love me! Thank you, Jesus! As well he is taking Pat to the next level in her life and that has me bursting at the seams. God is good! All the time!

I am experiencing a peace in God that I’ve never known or have had since deliverance and never understood. I’ve been a Jesus follower Jesus for 20 years and for 17 years God was good, I became a serious Jesus follower 3 years ago and found God to be a great God. However, the last 2 years of that 20 has brought forth a passion along with new discoveries in ways that God can use me. God exampled my abilities through two sold out men of God and encourages me through dozens of others. God is more than enough! Galatians 2:20 (NLT), My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. In retrospect, Satan who is the enemy of my soul, whom I know means me all harm, convinced me that I wasn’t Christian enough, mature enough in the spirit, wealthy enough and would never be. Deep inside, I wanted to, but I didn’t want to embarrass myself, as I couldn’t spout off scripture, donate large amounts of money or offer wisdom toward leadership. That is until 3 years ago, when God gave me His definition of purpose for me! He kept it simple, so I couldn’t miss what He said, here it is; Purpose: do what I ask, when I ask you!! I heard this said, just this week at our Brother Night Meeting, God is not interested in my ability, His interest lies in my availability. A few weeks ago, during my study time God gave me a nugget to carry, it was a quote from Myles Munroe; “Where the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable!” Now, if that doesn’t cause the wheels of a mind to turn, a storm is coming. Another thing God is showing me, is my purpose in serving Him should never change although the directions, people and situations will change, my purpose should never. Satan is more than up on this and ready to attack at any second, he finds confusion or weakening in our purpose. My weakest link in my purpose chain was, I am not enough! Satan capitalizes on this doubt because the list has no end and as I overcome one doubt, another pops up. There is enough on this list to last a person an entire life time of internal battles. But God gave me a purpose and a promise. 2 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT), 3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. I am enough because Jesus is enough! Jesus became the great sacrifice, that I might become enough once I believe. Once I found my own identity in Christ, I discovered that my misery was coming from a severe lack of who I am. I heard it said by Pastor Mike Todd, “I can never be completely comfortable in someone else’s identity!” Why? Because God has created me to have my own. I am who God says I am and I have a divine purpose on my life to do great things of God. It took me a while to understand there are no small works of God. If God instigates what I do, I may get a snap shot of the results but only God can see the totality of that action. Isaiah 55:11 (NLT), 11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. It helps me to know, I am God’s chosen method for transporting His word! I am enough, and I have a God given purpose, to “DO WHAT HE ASK, WHEN HE ASK!”

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
