Be Warned

Sunday’s Monday

This has been a beautiful week of joy as I made a new acquaintance, through adversity and I had Meals on Wheels twice plus I’ve taken on a frozen food route. Projects are getting to a controllable point and going quite well. Looking forward to Brother Night North Meeting this Thursday evening at 6 pm inside Captain’s Galley, Granite Falls, NC. “Life is to short to concentrate on the problems that come with it.”

I am amazed at how the majority of Christians has twisted and changed the attitude of God’s word. It seems that in the last 2000 years churches have cultivated a perception that allows a weak or lazy Christian to perceive sin as not so bad as long as one is in church everytime the doors open. It seems the weight (punishment) of fence sitting or lukewarm behavior has been lightened or lifted and no longer appreciated as it is written in Revelation 3:15-16 ESV, “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. I often have to be reminded of the importance of reaping and sowing because my flesh is always looking for a way to lighten this load for comforts sake. But God states it plainly in Galatians 6:7-8 ESV, do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. A long time ago, I was gifted by a friend with a little saying which has proven to be true in every situation. “To be a part, you must be a part!” I must become fully vested, active and aware in all my relationships, situations and life itself. No pretending or faking, because God tells me in Matthew 6:1 ESV, “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. It is imperative that I become absorbed in my spirit with the things of God everytime I feel led to do or join what ever it is. Half-heartedness always leads to a full mind of doubt and sorrow! I (we) have to get back to basics which begins in 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. There is no half way, no middle ground (if you will), I am a new creation or I’m not and it doesn’t matter what people perceive because God and I know the truth. Which leads me to another truth, no matter what I think or chose to call weakness, complacency or plain old laziness, it’s still unpleasing in God’s eyes because I have become inactive. I came across a scripture that explains what happens when a Christian gets lazy; 2 Timothy 4:3 ESV, For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions. This is a heartbreaking statement and yet I’m seeing it more and more as my life continues. People (me included) have made excuses for so long that we now believe them to be truth and, in most cases, even biblical. Luke warns us in Acts 20:28-30 ESV, pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. I find myself getting drawn in different areas sometimes but thank God the Holy Spirit is always on the job to reign me in and correct my path. The enemy of our souls tries his best to keep us from studying and conversing with God. I received this revelation one morning, Satan can’t keep God from answering prayer, therefore his recourse is to stop us from praying. For those that hadn’t got it yet “I am the weak link” in God’s chain. Ergo this scripture is a must, Romans 12:2 ESV, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
