2019 New Year Prayer
Sunday’s Monday
Pat and I have had a blessed 2018. God has shown His light around us and allowed us to serve His people. He has comforted us in trials and commissioned us with blessings. His love has introduced us to people and situations far beyond our reach. God is good!
This is my prayer for all my readers for the year of 2019. Please read the following passage of God’s word to better understand my prayer for you. Philippians 4:6-9 (NLT), 4; Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5; Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. 7; Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8; And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9; Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. May you not, nor never be a Christian of effortless expectations! This is the way of the world and soon to be the way of today’s Christian, should we continue to search for the easy way to follow Jesus. Some have become perfectionist at twisting, manipulating and / or masterfully mis-quoting the scriptures. There are those that even preach and teach the effortless ways of pleasing Jesus. However, I ask God to share the secret of Philippians 4:6-7 with you, the (NLT) reads, 6; Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. I pray that you understand, this pleases God as it announces to the world that He is our hope and we have full confidence in Him. 7; Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. May God grant you the wisdom to grasp the words “as you live in Him.” One can never know the peace and security of God, without knowing God! Please note; as beautiful as this scripture is, it doesn’t end at 7, there is an 8th verse which states; 8; And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. I beseech our creator to bring this verse into each heart with a clarity like no other, grant a complete and total understanding of how this will change our world. Verse 9; Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me, everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. May the Lord of all, open your very being to the truth of verse 9 because there is a serious amount of action required in this verse and there aren’t any short cuts. Christians are expecting all the finest rewards of verses 6-7 with minimal efforts toward verse 8-9. Although this is regrettably becoming common place among most Christians. It is my prayer this day, that we all learn to trust God as Paul did, recognizing that God is in control of every situation as written in Philippians 4:11-12 (NLT), 11; Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. 12; I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. May we all receive the revelation that Paul was given in verse 8; And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise, to realize that we have been given the power through Jesus Christ to be content in every situation. Ergo enjoying, the joy of peace, the peace of contentment and the contentment of God’s love. May you receive God’s instruction, with a happy heart!
Happy New Year, All Year Long! May His Peace Be with You!
HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
