Do We “Op 4 Position”?

Do We “Op 4 Position”?

I hear the complaints of suffering as I’m sure you do also. People grumbling over the smallest and silliest things, most of which were issues of their own doing or things in which they had no control. No matter what it is, it’s able to ruin their day and in many cases this grumbling / complaining become their way of life. It is easy for any of us to succumb to the negative side of our lives simply because it comes more naturally. In researching our brain verses negativity, I found a ton of information on a lot of different websites and they almost all say the same thing. To simplify the results I’ve chosen Psychology Today which states the question; Why our brains are more highly attuned to negative news. The answer is, for the same reason political smear campaigns outpull positive ones. Nastiness just makes a bigger impact on our brains.

This explains a lot for me! I can see how my pity parties could grow so quickly to such depts and my “why me” moments would seem to last forever. Which is usually the case when God is teaching me “more of Him” through one of my (not so great) choices and / or decisions. He allows me to suffer some of the consequences in order for me to learn (if I will). Hence, He has given us a way to cope and overcome such trials, which is found in Hebrews 12:12-13 (TPT), 12 So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship. And strengthen your weak knees, 13 for as you keep walking forward on God’s paths all your stumbling ways will be divinely healed! There are a couple of secrets that God has placed in this writing that a lot of us miss (for various reasons). The first being; never give up, “GIVE IT TO GOD”! In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (TPT), 16 Let joy be your continual feast. 17 Make your life a prayer. 18 And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. The second thing I’d like to point out is one that could be easily overlooked. “GOD’S PROVISION!” He tells us in Ephesians 6:10 (TPT), Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. His way is made as clear as Christal!

This is the reason God tells us to witness to the lost, dwell in the household of faith and to abide in Him. Hebrews 12:14 (TPT), In every relationship be swift to choose peace over competition, and run swiftly toward holiness, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. God impowers us to obey Hebrews 12:15 (TPT), Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many. This scripture strikes fear in the heart of most Christians today, through their lack of wisdom. They simply don’t know how to admonish in love! We are often taught through the bible, books, and preachers to approach a fellow believer (who has strayed from the path) in love and that’s great. But how many of us comprehend what that looks like? This is why it’s so important that God orchestrate the confrontation or meeting. First, to prepare each heart for what is about to happen and second to fill us with His love. Which is something we don’t have; we can’t manufacture and don’t really understand! Therefore, we must rely on God to fill us with His love, so we can pour it out on others!

There is a lot of insight in these scriptures today and I believe (for my part) this one is the most compelling. Hebrews 12:25 (TPT), Make very sure that you never refuse to listen to God when he speaks! For the God who spoke on earth from Sinai is the same God who now speaks from heaven. Those who heard him speak his living Word on earth found nowhere to hide, so what chance is there for us to escape if we turn our backs on God and refuse to hear his warnings as he speaks from heaven? Which I have shortened for my own interpretation: I can be part of the spiritual opposition or I can OP 4 POSITION in God’s service! In-which for me is a no brainer; as I went 4 position. Unlike Esau in Hebrews 12:16-17 (TPT), 16 Be careful that no one among you lives in immorality, becoming careless about God’s blessings, like Esau who traded away his rights as the firstborn for a simple meal. 17 And we know that later on when he wanted to inherit his father’s blessing, he was turned away, even though he begged for it with bitter tears, for it was too late then to repent.

Ephesians 1:17-18 (TPT), 17 I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him. 18 I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling-that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones! Amen

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
