A I verses I AM!

SUNDAY’S MONDAY

One of today's great debates is AI (artificial intelligence), where science teaches machines to think like humans. Why? Why would scientists think they can teach a machine to do what humans haven’t perfected after millions of years of trying? Sadly, such delusional rationale drives the human species to try to create rather than correct. Plus, the great personal gain of recognition and wealth to those involved in such programs. Just look at today’s baby boomers (born in the mid-1900s) compared to Millennials (born in 1980-1994.) Baby boomers were and are so much more dependent on their human abilities (integrity, reasoning, spirituality, and academics) for survival. One quick example is McDonald’s putting pictures on their equipment to coincide with numbers and accommodate the upcoming generation's lack of math and reasoning skills. I’m sure it was profitable for McDonald's, but it is such a great injustice to those kids rather than teach them the needed skills for service, they dumbed down the situation. SAS Institute article reads, A I will provide human-like interactions with software and offer decision support for specific tasks, but it's not a replacement for humans – “and won't be anytime soon.” Spiceworks wrote, to design a technology that enables computer systems to work intelligently yet “independently.” Notice the phrase anytime soon and independently.

I then turned to Wikipedia.com asking for figures based on global illiteracy for 2023. “The global literacy rate for all people aged 15 and above is 86.3%. They estimated 8 billion people are living on planet Earth and out of that 2 billion are children ages zero to 14 years old which leaves approximately 6 billion people 15 and above, using 86% as a base we find the literate number to be around four billion nine hundred twenty million which concludes one billion eighty million are illiterate. Sadly, the number of illiterate isn’t mentioned much because mankind is losing interest in its own kind. Questions: what happens to literacy when machines start doing everything for us and where will it stop? This is why it is important to teach the family Deuteronomy 4:9 (ERV), But you must be careful! Be sure that as long as you live you never forget what you have seen. You must teach these things to your children and grandchildren. Your children will take a lot of you with them when they leave the nest, so pack their trunk with God stuff! Save the children by teaching them what God is teaching you!

The Great I AM (God) created us to grow, learn, and teach, “His ways” to all in our path. He equipped us with a mind for learning, thinking, and reasoning, based on our knowledge of Him. According to many psychotherapists, humans live their best lives passionately pursuing a pre-appointed purpose. We were created to serve God first, others second, family third, and self last, that’s what we’re wired to do. We are always at our best when serving God through following Jesus as is eluded to in 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NLT), God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. Let’s take back our children and be the parents God created us to be. Starting today invest in your children, make those deposits of God’s wisdom, savor your time together, and grow a future, side by side. Help them with their future today, encourage them to embrace the moment and to await tomorrow eagerly.

Abba, I come before you with a thankful heart of praise, because you are all I need. Lord, I thank you for opening my eyes to what is important and for your grace in reminding me you’re still on the throne. The problem is not AI; the problem is adults neglecting their obligation to the children. Lord, we read in Psalm 127:3, “Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.” May we not squander one precious moment we find to help shape their future. Teach me to always be encouraging and uplifting with my words. AI is a product of this world in which I just share a space. I pray to speak and live as a temporary visitor here so they will understand that my joy is like my citizenship, in Heaven. Thank you, Father God! Amen
