The 3 P’s!

Sunday’s Monday

Today I’m into the three p’s but it goes way beyond Colonial Penn’s, price, price, and price. The three p’s I’m speaking of are Partner, Participate, and Promote which I’m using primarily in the spiritual sense although the application can be used daily in every task we choose. I will recommend it be instituted as a daily lifestyle change for living. I know it sounds corny but please reserve all judgment until you’ve read it all. My prayer and hope is this will cause a self-examination of how comfortable you are in your “own” skin. Is the place you’ve chosen to fit into, the place you expected to be at this stage of your life? Do you awake with a strong feeling of purpose and filled with the assurance that with Jesus you are ready for those challenges that fill this new day? Can you find and stand on that wonderful feeling that Jesus has already given you the victory and together you’ll simply be solving situations as they arrive? I hope this is being received with the same excitement I am feeling as I write today. My heart is filled with 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT), 16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

First P = Partner; many believe they can go it alone which is true, but not recommended! Think about it seriously for a few seconds, do you believe two heads are better than one, or that one mind is all you want in your game? Some prefer the hard way but know this, we were created to not go it alone as we find in Genesis 2:18 (NLT), Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” The Bible uses helper where I’m using the term Partner to best describe my point. I use the word partner because I feel helper puts a cap of superiority on one and I like to feel equality, where my weakness capitalizes on my partner's strengths and my strengths enhancing their weaknesses. Partners share ideas and compromise (with boundaries) when necessary. They find a new boldness as they learn and grow together in whatever situation they're faced with. This could be organizations, companies, colleagues, spouses, and children. When we put Jesus in the center of the mix, boldness, and confidence should boil down to a joint vigorous passion.

Second P = Participate; This is usually the hardest one for many people. Participate; means getting out of that rut called our comfort zone and exercising those couch muscles. You see, once we reach comfortable, we stop maturing. The challenge is gone, and we start to deteriorate, wither, and die because the human body wasn’t designed to stop being challenged. We are a “use it or lose it” creation! We learn through doing life and doing life with others stimulates us to feel challenged through responsibility and accountability to each other. I’ve found that the more Jesus followers I can find to do life with, the more excitement I find for Jesus being in my life. The same is true for organizations, families, and groups all seeking to prosper and thrive. I am Part of an organization “Western North Carolina Overcomers” which is in the people recycling business, our intent is to partner with Jesus and return his people to the state He created them to enjoy. Remember Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT), Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Third P = Promote; should be the easiest of the three simply because all that is required is to live daily what we claim to believe. We promote our passion in everything we do, during every waking moment and people see it. Passion once activated, cannot be contained! As passion flows from one to another in any arena, people, organizations, groups, and families will be drawn together. This is a process in which those of like kind will draw others together to enlighten, strengthen, and add greater abilities to serve the needs of the people all and better. This is a winning combination of willingness, humility, and Jesus, of which I’m all in for that!

My prayer today comes from Ephesians 3:19-21 (NLT), 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
