UNDERCOVER!

Sunday’s Monday

I am still learning how to live with a revelation that God gave me many years ago. As I was traveling to work one morning talking with Jesus, I heard Him (plain as day) say, “you have jokingly stated many times that you are your own worst enemy and I would like for you to finally realize that you are!” Well, I took immediate offense to the statement and shut down that conversation point haste! However, Jesus had spoken, and I couldn’t get His words out of my mind. For several days following the revelation, I completely avoided any reference to personal problems and/or my wellbeing. Our morning conversations were short and pointed in thanksgiving and praying for others as I didn’t want to accept the truth that Jesus hit me with. I knew in my heart that I would have to get quiet, with Him and deal with what He said. Even though I had a good idea it was going to be ugly, for sure it would be hard and maybe horrifying. I was going to have to go where no man (not even me) had ever gone before (deep inside myself) and I didn’t want to. Jesus was destroying my cover, my faithful excuse “I didn’t know” would no longer cover the truth. God’s truth found in 2 Corinthians 3:14 (NLT), But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ

I heard it said or read that “truthis a dangerous gift, In that once you know something, you can't unknow it. Which doesn’t mean one will act according to the known truth however, it does mean one will never find peace while ignoring the known truth, especially God’s original truth. The big question for each of us is, do we actually know the truth and the even bigger question is, do we honestly want to know God’s uncensored truth. I’ve learned through life’s experiences that the human species has perfected the art of distortion in every area of truth, specifically God’s truth. Some of us have become so accomplished at living the lie that we in fact live it and share it every day! Granted, some people are living against God’s grain unintentionally, as their belief are based on old wives’ tales and altered stories created by those riding the fence of God and flesh. However, their bottom line is, a nonexistent relationship with Jesus! Again, fact is written in 2 Corinthians 3:15 (NLT), Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.

, today shall not remain and neither does our heart have to remain the same. We change daily! Either for the better or worse, we change! From physical birth to physical death there is the truth of constant change and just as life dictates change, so it is with our spiritual being. It is my belief that one will never come into the presence of Jesus and walk away unchanged. This pertains to prayer (in His will), quite time (listening), reading and studying (God’s word), prophetic visions (dreams or thoughts) and so on. Your life will never be the same when you’ve had a legitimate encounter with Jesus. Truth is another word for change in the fact our inner self will either feel good at accepting truth and change or experience internal restlessness as our heart rejects change. Human truth, I was an avid smoker some 25 years ago and couldn’t quit until God sent an X smoker who shared this truth with me, “once you want not to, more than you want to, you’ll quit.” Halleluiah! No more lies, excuses, self-condemnation or misconceptions, just simple effective truth that changed my life. We are told in God’s inspired word within 2 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NLT), 16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Who among us isn’t seeking freedom from something? Just as my freedom came over smoking through the easiest of instructions, so Jesus waits to instruct us through His Holy Spirit. Nothing worth having comes easy, however the journey and the rewards more than make it worthwhile!

My prayer this week is a simple prayer for the Holy Spirit to draw those in denial to the truth of Jesus and to strengthen those who believe and live 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT), 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. Amen; Amen; and Amen!

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
