GOOD INTENTIONS!
Sunday’s Monday I’m sure we’ve all heard this term, the road to hell is paved with good intentions! Ever wondered exactly what the insinuation is, or do you through personal experience know the intent of the remark? I went to Wikipedia to get a better perspective on the meaning and found this, "Hell is full of good meanings, but heaven is full of good works". A different interpretation of the saying is, individuals may have the intention to undertake good actions but fail to
INSPECT WHAT YOU EXPECT!
Sunday’s Monday Today God has given me a subject that I wrestle with consistently, and I feel sure that I’m not alone on the issue. God through various speakers and conversations with others is constantly asking me, “what is it you seek in a true friend.” To which my answer always feels (in my opinion) to be lacking in substance. TROPHY hunters command second place (desiring fame, fortune, and popularity), and the last of the three is TREASURE seekers (spiritually seeking God’s promises)
DEEP MISCONCEPTION!
Sunday’s Monday I have witnessed several conversations recently about going deeper with God. It seems people feel secure in their knowledge of Jesus and think learning more of the God of the old testament will miraculously lead to that deeper relationship one seeks. It amazes me how easily confused I can become overthinking matters of spiritual wellbeing and then God shows me people seeking shortcuts. The old testament is simply that, “old,” it is a history book just like we
