In The Beginning, God!

Sunday’s Monday

I have been blessed abundantly this week! Now this doesn’t mean that I had a week with no challenges, it simply means that God found favor for me throughout the week. I choose to only highlight the positive in this negative world, giving no glory to the negative. I had the great privilege to proctor for Alexander Early College in Taylorsville, NC two days this week. I find it amazing to observe the faces of the future leaders of this land as they test. Pat and I hosted our first cookout of 2018 this week and enjoyed it tremendously. We have a desire to see our friends and family outside of the box (coffin). Today I celebrated Mother’s Day with Pat (my wife), Joe and Linda Dillard, which is another great blessing from God added to our lives!

I heard a pastor say this week, the reason Christians sit in church for years or sometimes for life and never have a true relationship with Jesus, doubting their sanctification as well as their right to enter heaven’s gate is due to the fact of not grasping the totality of Genius 1:1. The very first verse of the bible explains without confusion the most important factor of our belief. Genesis 1:1 (NIV), In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In the beginning God, that’s it! Once we get this inside us we clear the way for Jesus to accomplish a good work in us through the help of the Holy Spirit. If God truly is the beginning and we profess His son to be truth, raised from the grave, we are one! This being said; I find it interesting that humans were created last, in all of God’s creations. Genesis 1:26 (NIV), Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” God prepared a place for humans before He created man. Everything was made ready to support the existence of each creation before their manifestation. My head is spinning at this point in my research, God is filling my mind with His words of works. A most impressive truth is, Jesus is preparing a place for those that love Him (like Father, like Son). John 14:2 (NIV), My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? Ergo, my spiritual Father laid the ground work and brought me into existence while today Jesus my spiritual Brother is preparing a place for my eternal stay with them. However! I am not to be lazy nor contrite while my place is being made ready. I have instructions from John 14:12 (NIV), Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. My instructions are clear! I am to live daily as Jesus exampled. If the Father (God) is residing in me, He will show Himself to all! Not just on Sunday, or when convenient and not to bring attention to me, but glory to God. Jesus will not be my genie in a bottle, which I pull out in my times of need and return to a shelf when all is well. I have said for a long time now that a person will never come into the presence of God and walk away the same, because God is a God of restoration. I liken it to a new pair of glasses, the glasses highlight and bring out the best features in one’s face, that were shadowed before; the improved vision uplifts a new sense of self confidence in which had been weakened over time. This new you, cannot be hidden from the world as the look and confidence goes wherever you are. The same holds true when you love Jesus, it can’t be hidden! If we’re not showing and sharing Colossians 3:12 (NIV), Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. If this is not the view the world has of me, I need to be on my knees, until it is. I realize that I will not be perfect in any area of life this side of heaven but that doesn’t mean I am not celebrating my eternity with Jesus every day. I believe, my perfection is the job of Jesus, my obedience to Him is my job! In the beginning, GOD! Is my foundation for love, He created me, not because He had to, but because “He wants to love me!”

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
