"I’M NOT” WHO I WAS!

Sunday’s Monday

Just so you’ll know, I don’t watch every spiritual movie that is released when it comes out. I often get behind and watch them as God prepares me to receive what is in them for me. I watched one this weekend that was some years after they open at the movies. Let There Be Light was released on November 3rd, 2017, and my wife and I watched it for the first time on May 27 of 2023. I found tons of things written in the script that confirmed things that I have been saying for years. The greatest endorsement for me was the actual meaning of the title Let There Be Light as it is explained in Matthew 5:16 (NLT), In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. My very first testimony contained this statement, you surely had to know me before my surrender to truly appreciate the magnitude of God’s miracle. I was spiritually reborn and I actually became that new creation Jesus speaks of, but words simply cannot carry the enormity of what took place in that moment. There was such an immaculate transference, that I can’t find words to explain it.

However, those who knew “the before me” and suffered heartbreak because of what I was. Witnessed the miracle for what it was, a gift from Jesus to me that I might take His light into all the places where I shamed Him before. That was positively the first day of the best of my life and the rest of my days have just gotten better. A few years ago, I received the vision that I am a living, walking, and talking billboard for Jesus designed to carry the story of the miracle He performed in me, because of His unconditional love He is. I can’t sing His praises enough to glorify Him! As is written in Philippians 2:9-11(NLT), 9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I turned to the internet to better explain The Light that is spoken of in The Bible and it read; light has always been a symbol of holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, grace, hope, and God's revelation. By contrast, darkness has been associated with evil, sin, and despair. Now I realize that there are those out there that don’t believe this line of thinking and my prayer for you is time to find the truth. None of us know the when of our death and for that reason, we need to be prayed up, read up, and ready to go at all times. We are told in Ephesians 6:18 (NLT), Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. The simplicity of prayer is baffling to many Christians because the church has clouded the truth with pretty talk, appealing words, and the need to please the listeners. I invite you to get into the workings of prayer, dig into the history that Jesus had with it, then examine “how you pray” and more so why do you pray that way.

I realize that prayer has been stigmatized with judgment and as a result, has lost a lot of its power. When we pray, it should be a one-on-one conversation with God and those within hearing distance are merely spectators or supporters. We are not to entertain them; we are to please Jesus with the fellowship between us. Jesus merely seeks to hear what is on the heart and how He might lead us into more growth because of our prayer. We can’t grow if we’re all show! It is a must that we are honest and open with Jesus. I owe Him that much and more. As I find in 1 John 3:18 (NLT), Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. We bring His light to others, through our lifestyle!

Father God, may we live out Acts 26:17-18 (NLT), 17 And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles 18 to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’ May we carry “Your Light” high for this world to see! Amen

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
