Isaiah 34:1-2 (NLT), August 12, 2018

Scripture focus for me: Isaiah 34:1 (NLT), Come here and listen, O nations of the earth. Let the world and everything in it hear my words.

Why did this scripture engage me: This message is very much active and real today. Isaiah is warning everyone from that day until the end of days about the coming "Judgment on the Nations". To date the nations have failed to abide in God, in which is why it is important for us as individuals to know and love God.

Change my life: I realize that this and any other nation can only be changed one person at a time. This adds a tremendous value to my Christian life style in my home, community and every where I go. The nation in which I live may be doomed but I have the salvation of Jesus and His promise of eternal life.

Prayer of gratitude and purpose: Father, you have my heart and my full attention of your prophecies. Help me to understand exactly what you would have me do each day. I seek your wisdom to aid in my understanding as I study the book of Isaiah. Thank you, Lord. Amen
