My Reward: Isaiah 55:3 (NLT)……………. September 12, 2018

Scripture focus for me: Isaiah 55:3 (NLT), “Come to me with your ears wide open.

Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.

Why did this scripture engage me: In reading this scripture I come to my own conclusion that God is telling me to come to Him with my ears wide open and my mouth tightly closed. I am to hear Him with my ears, reply with my heart and obey with my life. This is very powerful statement to me when I apply it toward my lax of self-confidence and self-worth. God! The creator of everything has chosen to make a holy covenant of love with little old me. Then today it hit me; it’s not about who or what I am, rich, poor, weak or strong because I am His and He is everything!

Life Changer: I can think of nothing better, than to hear God say, who I am to Him. I am everything that I thought I wasn’t and I’m not all those things that I thought I was. God loves me and that is exactly what this world needs to hear. I have to increase my proclaiming of Jesus as Savior and Lord and let everyone witness the love of God through me.

Prayer of gratitude and purpose: Father; I beg your forgiveness where and when I fail to example you in my life. Help me Lord to better become that beacon of hope pointing people to you. Thank you, for your covenant with me and for adopting me into your holy family of love, acceptance, provision and protection. You truly are a good, good Father!
