Power of three!

Sunday’s Monday

Hallelujah! Praise God! This has been a week of spiritual fire for me and I am so thankful to be a part of God’s work here on planet earth. God has given me the privilege of meeting new people, doing new things and having my socks blessed off this week. I praise Him for teaching me to be positive so that I may be a light in someone’s dark despair today. Afterall, that is what Jesus did throughout His life, He shown brightly that others might see!

First things first! I need to apologize to every reader of today’s blog, and I will attempt to explain why. I’ve attended two major men’s meetings this week plus a lot of phone sessions with good Godly men and my heart is filled with so much information that I simply can’t pen my thoughts correctly enough to make sense. I couldn’t choose, a single theme from all this information from the subjects that were covered. However, when I posed my dilemma to Jesus, he nudged me in the direction of how we are created to be interdependent on each other and dependent “only” on Him!

God explains through the writings of King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV), 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Now allow me to show you, what God just revealed to me interrupting my train of thought. “Three!” King Solomon used the number three and as instructed by Jesus I re-read and personalize the verses, using Jesus in the first position, it reveals “God, You and I; as three strands, twisted in His mercy, grace and love!”

God seeks to teach each of us to stand in unfailing faith of He and His promises as we seek to strengthen each other in His word, wisdom and wonders. Again, God is telling us in Proverbs 27:17 (ESV), Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. He has given us a spiritual need for accountability as to the responsibility of our action, word and deed. As we now know, our flesh will resist our spiritual nature at every turn because we no longer operate under the terms of the flesh. Ergo; we have a God given need, however, you and I are but a two stranded cord trying to pull the weight of this world and even though we is stronger than a single strand, we can’t withstand the evil of this world, that is until the third strand of God is added.

God is a God of multiplication and we all know (without doubt) that there is strength in numbers. Therefore, it stands to reason, the more strands we add to our spiritual cord the stronger we become in our faith, the easier Godly wisdom will find us, and our self-worth will soar through the roof. With God as our center cord, holding all adjoining cords in check, there is no limit to what can be accomplished! As Matthew penned in, Matthew 18:19-20, Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. As long as, He is our center cord, “His will” will be done!

With all that I have written today, I beg of you to read and ponder, the scripture that God chose for our Brother Night Men’s Ministry. Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV), 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Most Christians will never experience the power spoken of in James 5:16 (ESV), Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. We will never offer up a prayer from deep within our spirit that doesn’t strengthen our spiritual being, our faith in God and the object of our prayer. I pray this day that you think about what you’ve read, test it, talk with God about it as well tell Him how you feel. There is no condemnation implied, only a deep wholesome desire to grow unity among all people. I realize, I myself as a single strand can do little to help anyone however with the addition of you as a second strand, more can be accomplished, furthermore in allowing God to be the center strand, a will form a cord that Satan cannot break and God will add to the numbers which have no end. As God adds and binds each strand of my cord, I clearly understand Philippians 4:13 (ESV), I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Praise be to almighty God!

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK BY BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS!
